This painting is copied from the sunflower pictures that Ruzan took, it was a difficult one to do. I guess wouldn't have completed it if wasn't for John and Rupa's help.The center of the flower is a lot of under and over painting to get the effect. I wanted to used gesso to do the texture but was afraid it will crack over a period of time. I have used a lot of thick paint directly from the tube and let the colors blend on the canvas instead of mixing them in the palette.
